The Schlessman Move
Dolores and Lee Schlessman, having lived in their own 3,000 square foot home for over 20 years, chose to move to Holly Creek and take advantage of a senior living community, with all it’s wonderful amenities. Knowing that they were going to be a in a smaller place, they were extremely practical in what they decided to take with them. Wanting to maximize the space they were moving into, they carefully selected items that meant the most, with many tasteful choices in their artwork and design. There is a surprising amount of closet space in their new home, and they were able chose a few pieces of furniture that fit perfectly!
In Dolores’ extraordinarily clever words:
“I’m still praising our wonderful move! Three young ladies appeared at our door about 8:30 in the morning and began packing up dishes, glassware, artwork, refrigerator items, bathroom items, etc. (even freezer things!).
Three young gentlemen arrived at the same time and carefully and swiftly started wrapping furniture and moving things out to the van. They were out of the house just before 11am. Between 2:30 and 3 in the afternoon of the same day, we walked into our new apartment to find everything in the proper places, all unpacked, beds made and all of the art hung! We felt like home already. We are both over 90 years old and maybe a bit crotchety, but we couldn’t have had a more comfortable move.”
