Susan joined A Move Handled With Care three years ago after some personal experience with downsizing and moving a family member and a neighbor. She was attracted to the company because it is woman-owned and she believed it provided a valuable service to seniors who may or may not have local family or friends to help during their move. Susan’s previous work experience included working in the front office and chairside assisting a root canal specialist. She also volunteered as a humane education instructor for the Denver Dumb Friends League. Most of her students were children and this provided an opportunity to model positive and responsible behavior toward animals, possibly helping to curb some societal violence.

As a Team Lead, Susan is responsible for assisting our team to facilitate sorting, packing, unpacking and organizing. She is great at the fine details of our client’s moves and enjoys learning about the history and stories behind the “stuff”. Susan’s favorite part of her job is meeting our clients and learning new things through their backgrounds and interests.  She appreciates art and has had the opportunity to view more artwork than she ever imagined possible during her time with A Move Handled With Care. She is amazed that many of our clients are the artists themselves!

In her free time, Susan enjoys watching classic movies, decorating and gardening. She even enjoys just doing NOTHING in her free time!
