Staff Highlight: Shanda
16 years as a full-time stay at home mom, Shanda re-joined the workforce. She wasn’t in love with the job she’d found and had been looking for a change. Shanda discovered A Move Handled with Care and she couldn’t pass up the opportunity! She says she was excited because working with Cierra meant she could use her skills for organization and couple it with serving seniors. Something that had been, and still is important to Shanda, is serving others. She has always loved helping her family and friends organize and downsize! In fact, right before she found Cierra and the team, she had assisted her own parents with downsizing their home and she’d found the experience to be extremely rewarding.
Shanda says that meeting each client’s needs from A to Z is her favorite part of working for A Move Handled with Care. The challenge of planning the space, creating the floor plans and coordinating between the packing and moving, is exactly what she loves to do! In her free time, Shanda cares for pets whose owners are travelling, sewing, gardening and home remodeling projects.
Shanda is a Senior Move Manager, handling initial consultations with clients and their families, space planning, and putting the project scope together. She works with her clients to see what will fit into their new home by creating floor plans and discussing possibilities with them! She also oversees everything on move day, packing, unpacking and settling her client in their new home. She’s even been known to hook up electronics! Shanda has been with A Move Handled with Care for five years.
