| Over the past few months, A Move Handled With Care has had a unique opportunity to partner with Someren Glen, A Life Plan Community located in Centennial, CO, to assist them with renovations of their independent living apartments.
It can be a tricky situation to complete renovations when you have residents living in the apartments you would like to renovate. With a carefully thought out plan between the Executive Director, the contractor and A Move Handled With Care, we successfully completed phase 2 of 6 of the renovation.
Each resident was packed and moved into a temporary pre-furnished unit while their belongings were moved to temporary on-site storage. Once the renovations are completed in their units, we move them back into their apartments and set things up just as the resident requested. That includes making their beds, organizing their kitchen and bathrooms, hanging art, putting away decor and general finishing touches.
Within a 6 day period, A Move Handled With Care moved 18 residents to and from temporary apartments. It was all hands on deck for our team as it was our job to make sure the residents were taken care of and all of their needs and expectations were met. Each apartment needed to be well packed, organized, labeled, and taken to its place to ensure these moves went smoothly.
